2010-08-04 - Perfect for narrow feet!!

I am ordering my 4th pair of the Asics Gel Nimbus 11 today from Amazon, I want to make sure I have a spare in the closet if I need a clean pair on short demand. I have narrow feet, high arches, need lots of cushioning and I underpronate when I walk so buying a pair of comfortable shoes is not very easy. I have worn narrow sizes in New Balance and Saucony and though they initially fit pretty well, they ended up being too wide in the toebox when they were broken in. The narrow Asics has kept its comfy fit a year after buying them. The Gel Nimbus 11 also meets my need for high arch support and help with the underpronation issue when I walk. I have tried many running shoes, including other Asics, but I have found that the narrow option of the Nimbus 11 is the only pair that meets all of my needs. I don't get color choices in narrow but have learned to appreciate the great fit of blue and white.
2010-07-20 - better than the 12

Can't quite identify what was different in the 12, but I started having knee pain and am now back to my trusty 11s. I'm scrounging all over online to stock up since they are endangered. Hate when that happens. Have stayed injury free in this shoe...no physical therapists or anything this year!
2010-07-17 - love this series

I have been buying the GEL-Nimbus for something close to ten years. Even though they are expensive and I am poor, they are worth it, because my high arches love them. Seems like past versions might have been a bit more like clouds for your feet, but maybe I have just gotten used to them. I definitely recommend. Especially to really high arches. They hold up pretty well too. I replace about once a year with moderate use (couple times a week walking/running).

2010-06-08 - Front left balls/mid section of foot ached within 20minutes

I will give an honest review as I am shocked this shoe on this site got so many 5 stars. This shoe felt good when I first put it on. then after 20min wear the balls of my front left side of feet and through the mid section of where my foot meets the toes ached so bad it "hurt". My foot was tending to ball up when I was walking and the shoe offered no support to guide my foot where it should be.
I tried my tired 2year old worn out Nike wanna be's on right after I took these shoes off after 1hour and my foot immediately felt better. So so much for 5stars..how abuot 2. And that is for reasonable cush standing still and looks.
I am returning this shoe to find one comprable to the shoe I have had now for 2 years (non-popular brand) but has been like a feather on my feet. still trying to find its replacement.
BTW, I have seen other sites suggesting the same issue of hurt feet and that this shoe lost alot of the support and extra layovers (fluff) the #10 shoe had.
