Choosing Running Shoes - Picking Women’s Sneakers
There are three types of foot: supination / high arch / under pronation, flat feet / over pronation / low arch, and neutral / normal pronation.
If you have high arches, you are likely an underpronator or supinator. If you have low arches, you are likely an overpronator. If you have neutral feet, you are normal pronator.
There are two methods to determine your foot type:
• Method 1: By examining the bottom of your shoes - The wear on your shoes can reveal your foot type.

If you have a high arch, your shoes will show wear on the outside of the heel and forefoot. If you have a low arch, your shoes will show wear on the inside of the forefoot. If you have neutral feet, your shoe will show even wear.
• Method 2: By identifying your footprint
With this method, you need to have a shallow pan, a large piece of paper, and water.
1. Place paper on the floor.
2. Pour water into a shallow pan.
3. Step right foot into the shallow pan with shoe and sock off.
4. Take your foot off from the pan.
5. Step into the paper.
6. Compare your footprint with the following image.

Check the above picture. If you see your heel and a skinny line of the outside of your foot, you are a under pronator. If you can see not see an arch, then you have flat feet. If you see about half of your arch, you have neutral feet and are an over pronator.
Cushioning running shoes is a good choice for women who have high arches. For women who have flat feet, motion control running shoes are a great selection. Stability running shoes are best for women with normal arches.
