I've been running in Salomon trail runners for over almost 10 years, always thinking they were the best ever. I have high arches and over-pronation issues, and generally narrow feet, and these were hands down the best, with good rigidity around the heel keep me running all the trails where I live in Boulder. I get new Salomon's every 4-6 months, and this was probably my 12th pair, but they never worked. The insole has changed, and now the inside balls of my feet have been blisters on top of blisters for 4 months, and they never broke in. Why did Salomon change the recipe? They were great shoes for so long, but now I'll have to find something different. Seriously disappointed.

These shoes are great for the outdoors. I no longer slip when I am walking/running over small rocks going downhill. They are extremely comfortable as well.
2009-11-16 - Great Trail Shoes

This is my second pair of Solomon trail shoes. I tried another brand in between, and ended up returning them and going back to my Solomons. They offer awesome heel stability for off trail running and a decent amount of front cushion. They run true to size and did not have to be "broken-in." No blisters!! The only problem I had with the first pair is that the "locking laces" broke, and so I had to purchase "regular" laces and they were quite hard to insert.

Bought two pairs for my wife. With Superfeet inserts, these shoes give her awesome support for her no arch feet and inward turning feet. The 'wings' add the extra stability. She uses them daily as well as to hike on Colorado trails.

2008-12-26 - Salomon Trail runners

I got my first pair of Solomon trail runners in 1999 - and I've never bought another athletic shoe since. I live in a rural area and use them for hiking rough roads and trails with my pooch. Also, they are great if you have a long day on your feet.
